Beyond Belief: Cardinals Player Hit by Ball 3 Times in a Row
Stephen Piscotty – an outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals – had a rough game on Tuesday.
In a single trip around the bases, the 26-year old was struck three seperate times by the ball: first at bat, followed by a shot to his elbow at second, and culminating with a blow to his head as he slid into home. Despite the repeated subjection to physical injury, Piscotty amazingly ending up scoring before exiting the game as a result of his perilous trip around the field. In an interview with reporters, he explained how fortunate he was for not losing consciousness during the remarkable play.
Watch: Piscotty is struck a stunning three times by the ball as he makes it around the field.
